The Ducati Multimedia System (DMS) is an infotainment system. Several Ducati models are equipped with the necessary connection to install this bluetooth module as an optional extra. Once installed on the bike, and your bluetooth activated (this has to be carried out by your local Ducati dealer**) it allows for connection to a smartphone, rider’s helmet earpiece, passenger’s helmet earpiece or Ducati navigator. Up to 4 devices can be connected.
When activated, the dashboard displays icons for the connected devices, as well as the Bluetooth icon. All connected devices can be managed via controls on the handlebar.
By connecting DMS to a smartphone or earpiece, the user can:
- receive calls - viewing the name and number of the caller - and respond while riding, using the Enter key on the handlebar. In the case of a missed or interrupted call, it is possible to call the last number back within 5 seconds of call interruption. The LAST CALLS function on the menu displays a maximum of 7 recent calls, whether received, missed or made, which the user can browse and call if necessary.
- receive and view on the dashboard, notification of any messages/emails received (only in the case of SMS/MMS/EMAILS sent to a smartphone’s native app and not messages from third parties such as Whatsapp or Gmail).
- listen to music found on the smartphone. By using the PLAYER option on the menu, users can activate the function that is then displayed on the dashboard, allowing for the reproduction of tracks (play/pause/forward).
When music is being played, the system will prioritise any calls that may be received, lowing the volume of the music and allowing the user to answer the call.
It is possible to combine up to two smartphones but connect one at a time.
Connecting to a Ducati navigator allows the rider to receive voice directions via the helmet earpiece. Or this can be achieved using a navigation app on your phone (such as Google Maps).
Full instructions are included, as well as a mounting kit, to accommodate different models. These units retail new for over £220. We are offering it for sale at £95.00, which amounts to a huge saving, were you to buy a new one from a dealer
Please Note: This module release is not compatible with models from 2022 onwards. It will however fit any model equipped to receive the DMS system up to and including 2021. Examples being the Panigale V4, Multistrada, Scrambler, Streetfighter and Diavel. Please check compatibility with your particular bike.
** This unit was removed from a Panigale V4 and is in perfect working order. However there is a process to enable it on your bike once installed. If not already activated, you will have to get your local dealer to activate bluetooth on your bike. In addition they will need to contact Ducati "UTech" who will issue a code to enable your dealer to flash the module with the VIN number of your bike, which will erase the VIN currently stored on the module of the bike it was removed from, which will transfer legal ownership over to you. Once this is done, you will need to follow the instructions in your bike's owners manual, in order to pair your mobile phone and/or Cardo/Sena unit to the bike and learn how to operate it through your handlebar switches. You can also use the "Ducati Link" app in conjunction with the module. More details are available on Ducati's website.

All of our fulfilled orders are shipped using Royal Mail's postal service. Costs are based on the total weight of items in your cart (plus packaging), the destination and the level of service selected during the checkout process. Similarly, delivery times depend on the destination and the level of service selected, as well as other factors such as inclement weather, industrial action etc., which are wholly outside of our control.
European Union
Orders shipped to the EU, will understandably take a little longer and the factors governing shipping costs and delivery times are much as for those for the UK, with the exception that your parcel may be subject to import duties and/or fees, levied by customs. Ricambi Moto UK is not responsible for these charges.
Worldwide
As for EU shipping, please note that your order may be subject to import duties and/or fees. Ricambi Moto UK is not responsible for these charges. Delivery times may vary considerably, depending on your location and the level of service selected.
PLEASE NOTE
Any orders we receive over a weekend, will not ship until the next working day. If your order is urgent, please be aware that we cannot guarantee overnight delivery, even with some of the express delivery options. This is due, in part, to when the order was placed, processed and shipped (for example, if a cut-off time could not be met) and/or other factors beyond our control within Royal Mail's service.
In addition, if the items you order exceed a total cart weight of 20kg (Channel Islands) or 5kg (European & Worldwide destinations), then you will not be offered any shipping options during the checkout process and you will need to contact us to process your order. UK Mainland customers, will still be offered a 'ParcelForce24' service over 20kg, up to a maximum of 30kg. Over any of these weight limitations, you will incur additional charges and/or we may have to use a courier service, such as Fedex, DPD or UPS to fulfill your order.
We currently only offer Royal Mail's "Special Delivery" service to customers in the Channel Islands, as we have found this to be the most reliable and timely option.
RETURNS POLICY
You have 30 calendar days from the date of purchase, to return an item to us. It must be returned in it's original packaging and must not have been used. You are responsible for any return postage costs. If you are looking for an exchange, we will either refund the difference in price, if the item you prefer is of a lower value, or we will charge you the difference in price, if the value is higher, plus any associated postage costs. Naturally, if you wish to exchange like for like (if for example your original item was faulty or damaged), then you will only be charged for postage. If no suitable exchange item is available, then you will receive a refund equivalent to the value of your original purchase. Items over £25 in value must be returned using a "signed for" Royal Mail service. You are strongly advised to insure the parcel to cover any financial loss, should the consignment become lost or damaged in transit.
Items you return that you did NOT originally declare as faulty or damaged on receipt, will be inspected on arrival. If any evidence of damage or use/misuse is found, a refund will not be issued and you will have to cover your loss through the aforementioned recommended insurance, if available to you.
Items that were damaged or faulty on receipt should be returned as above (including insurance to cover 'lost in transit'). Please indicate if you would prefer a refund or an exchange of goods. Should your order contain any damaged or faulty items, these must be declared to us by email or telephone within 24 hours of receipt. You will also need to send us at least two photographs showing the damaged item/s and the packaging in which it was received, PRIOR to returning any goods to us.
